37 weeks

I'm about to start being a Debbie Downer!! Still nothing going on. I understand I still have 3 weeks but that is only 2 doctor visits. I would like for something to start going on!! I don't want her to come early I just don't want to be induced!! Dr. G said he would let me go a week over. So it's still just a waiting game!

Randy and I are ready for her, let's just hope she's ready for us!! Lol! I think she knows already that we are crazy! All her clothes are cleaned and put away. Our bags are packed, cameras are charged, and the house is as ready as it will ever be!

Her room is pretty much done, so pictures to come by next week for sure. I have 1 more thing to put on the wall. It is one of the things you stick on the wall. It has 105 pieces to stick up there. Randy told me I was on my own!
Here is my 37 week belly!! It is growing the most it has the whole time!!

36 week check up!

This week started the fun every week dr appt. The best part is getting checked. It is uncomfortable but kind of exciting.

Nothing was going on down there! Piper is head down and getting a little lower!

I have 4 weeks left or if you look at it by dr appointments 3! I can't believe the time is so close!! Randy is ready for her to get here! I love how excited he is getting. He can't wait an longer to meet his little girl!

Me- I'm getting nervous!! I am not that person who had everything done the week I found out it was a girl. So needless to say I still have a few things to get done. The most important is packing my bags!! *my second child may not have a decorated room!! Lol! Other than my bags I think most everything is done.
-her millions of clothes are washed
-all of her equipment is put together and ready to help her sleep! (fingers crossed)
-her parents are super ready and that's all that matters!

I have not had much weight gain anywhere except my belly. I'm not a belly picture person but I will post a weekly one until piper makes her appearance!! I will even be a trooper and try to post one before heading to the hospital!
*36 week belly picture! Zeus can't wait for his sister to get here!

I will be posting a secret phrase when we are headed to the hospital! So keep your eyes posted for something crazy!

Things people don't like to talk about!

After checking a friends blog I felt the need to blog myself. I was checking on this friend because she has a 3 yr old daughter, has lost 2 babies in the past 10 months, and now she is blessed to be pregnant again!! She is 18 weeks and feeling that sweet baby move! My heart is so happy for them because they are wonderful people. My heart is also sad because it brings up memories of my own loss.

We have about 6 weeks left until we welcome Piper into our family. I can only imagine it being the best day of my life, but in the back of my mind I will be grieving my other baby who should have been born just seconds before her. I want to know what that life would have been like. I would talk all the stress and sleepless nights just to have both my babies come in July 22.

No one talks about it because people think if you don't speak it, it will go away. For a mom it never goes away.

This friend is amazing and speaks of each of her miscarriages, joined a group to help herself and others. I truly feel she has helped me, even though I am not as vocal about my loss. Maybe one day I will be able to help someone like she has helped me. (even if it was just through her blogging)

A quote that really stood out to me:
"If I lost a leg, I would tell them, instead of a boy, no one would ever ask me if I was "over it". They would ask me how I was doing learning to walk without my leg. I was learning to walk and breath without Wade. And what I was learning is that it was never going to be the life I had before."- Elizabeth Edwards

I will continue to learn how to walk without my "other" leg!

1st Pre-Mothers Day!

On Saturday a group of us went downtown to see "the flood".  It was pretty amazing!  Water covered everything! We did this for an early mothers day and for Katie's birthday!  She's 30 and still looks 22!!  I am so lucky to have her as a sister-in-law!  After our day downtown our BFF's Chris and Jen tied the knot!  Everything was beautiful!!

My first Mothers Day started off wonderful!  My husband got me a card and a nail gift certificate!!  Even though he tried to argue with me the day before saying it did not count this year.  Guess he is a keeper!  Mom and I spent the day out shopping!  Couldn't have asked for a better day!

We have a pretty busy week!  Thursday we go to the Dr. for a check up!  This will be 30 weeks!!  Crazy!! I just can't believe it has flown by this fast!  Friday we go for our 2nd 3D/4D ultra sound!  Lets hope Piper acts good this time!  We would like some good pictures of our pretty girl!  Hopefully this time we will be able to see her face and see who she looks like!

Tomorrow is a huge step for our entire family!  Bib will be having surgery tomorrow!  She has been diagnosed with NPH (Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus)   NPH is an accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) causing the ventricles of the brain to enlarge, in turn, stretching the nerve tissue of the brain causing a triad of symptoms. (human terms- Fluid on the Brain)  The best way to fix this is by placing a shunt in her head!  So that is what we will be doing tomorrow!  We would appreciate any and all prayers!  We love our Bib and want her to live the best life possible!  Hopefully this will make that possible!
I will post tomorrow when she goes into surgery and when she gets out!
Thanks for all the prayers!

Registering!!

Anyone who says registering is fun, is on CRACK!!  Luckily my mom went with me for the first round!  We headed to Babies R Us!  2 and 1/2 hours later we felt like we were done!  We realized we left off sheets, and other bedding stuff but we were so tired we did not care!

Next came round 2!!  This time Randy came along!  Target is much smaller, so it only lasted an hour!!  I'm not 100% sure what is all on there because Randy had the gun!!  I actually may need to look into that!

My next business venture is a person who will register for you! If they could have done all the necessities, then I could have done all the cute stuff online!

I am 24 weeks today!!  Only 16 more to go!!  It is crazy how my mind races thinking about what things will be like when Piper gets here!  I wonder what or who she is going to look like!!  It's just so crazy to think about!  I get more and more excited as the days pass by!!

Oh yeah, my BFF at work got engaged yesterday!!  Jenna Sanders will soon be Jenna Collie!!  I am so excited for her!!

From the Beginning!

Sadly, I can't remember the exact date I found out I was pregnant.  I guess it was such a shock I did not think it was for real.  I do remember on December 10, 2010 Randy and I went for our first Dr. visit!!  That was the day I knew my life was going to change!  We found out we were 8 weeks pregnant with TWINS!!  It was the most amazing feeling in the world! (Not to say we were not scared to DEATH)  Everything was going great (except the all day sickness)!

Next check-up was January 7, 2011.  After another ultra sound, we were dealt the worst news of our lives!!  Baby A did not make it.  I can honestly say this was the hardest thing I have ever had to go through.  Not only me, but everyone close to me was hurt!

After a few more visits we were finally convinced everything was GREAT with Baby B!!

The fun all began on February 16th.  Randy and I went to the Dr. to find out the sex of the baby!  We had planned a revealment party for that Saturday.  The nurse put the sex in an envelope and we took it to the bakery.  They made the coolest cake for the party!  We had over 60 people come to the party, needless to say the house was packed!!  Everything was pink and blue!  Even the clothes, people wore the color of their vote!  We ate hamburgers (girl) and hotdogs (boy).  After the food it was time to cut the cake and find out if we were going to have a "Daddy's Girl" or a "Momma's Boy"!

As we all know Piper Sutton Alberson will be joining us around July 22nd.  We couldn't be any more excited to become parents!  All we have been through in the last 5 months has really made us stronger!  I do feel things happen for a reason, but I question why it had to happen to me!  There is not a day that goes by that we don't think of our sweet "Angel".  As my pregnancy continues I know "Angel" will continue to come to my mind, but I know I am carrying one of GOD's most precious gifts! (Sometimes that still does not take the pain away)

Here Goes Nothing!

Well, Here it goes!  I wanted to enter the blogging world to keep everyone updated on our journey of parenthood!
It will most likely be a crazy, wild ride!!  If you know Randy and I then you know how crazy our lives already are!  We are super excited for Piper to get here!
